From the factory, the Ultra Bee comes equipped with a standard coil designed to accommodate a broad range of riders. However, no two riders are exactly alike — upgrading the spring coil is a simple yet powerful way to fine-tune your bike to match your riding style and body weight.

On this electric off-road machine, the rear coil spring determines how much resistance the suspension offers under compression. A stiffer coil (with a higher spring rate in lbs) reduces how much the bike sags under your weight (lower SAG), offering better support during jumps, rough terrain, and heavy impacts.

If the rear end feels too soft — frequently bottoming out or sitting too low — or too harsh over minor bumps, it’s a clear sign that your setup needs adjustment. In that case, consider replacing the Sur Ron Ultra Bee spring coil to better suit your weight and riding conditions.

Recommended setup examples:

  • 75 to 85 kg: 550 lbs spring coil
  • 65 to 75 kg: 500 lbs spring coil

Whether you're hitting trails or racing enduro, aim for a SAG between 20% and 25% of the total suspension travel while standing on the pegs. This ensures a responsive, balanced ride without compromising comfort or control.
